JUST FOR FUN

Tip of The Day!

During winter fill balloons with water and add food coloring, once frozen cut the balloons off & they look like giant marbles or Christmas decorations.

Can't wait to try this!

A "Classic" Gift

Almost everyone has a favorite classic TV show. Mine is "I Love Lucy" and I just can't get enough of Lucy's antics and Desi's generally patient but often hilariously frustrated responses.
Need an inexpensive but unique gift for that special someone who has everything they need?
Check this link out:

Becky makes very inexpensive and unique jewelry, including items for men. Check out the $6.00 button earrings I just ordered for myself using images I chose and forwarded to this shop owner:

The one inch button earrings feature these photos, one for each ear.
What a great gift idea!!!
So happy with Lucy and Desi have also ordered a custom pair featuring "Little Joe" from Bonanza as a gift for a close family member who is a big fan. Check out the link for other unique, classic gift ideas for your own loved ones including the men in your life! Becky has something for everyone and her prices are so very affordable!

LET'S GET MERRY!

A reality check when looking at the calendar this morning: The Holidays are once again just around the corner!
Food costs have sky-rocketed as have fuel costs and with winter fast approaching we all have the added expenses of heating our homes to at least a tolerable level, as well as other costs that seem to come with the colder weather.
Am quite sure with little thought you are beginning to tally these costs into your already tight budget if not literally at least mentally you are beginning to visualize the added stress to your pocketbooks. And then there's Christmas looming before us......
Do so love the holidays, the gift of giving, the love, the warmth, the good food beautifully displayed and so yummy in our tummies, the family, the friends, the joy, the laughter.
Unfortunately, it also adds unwanted financial stress. There's just so much we all want to do for those we love and the money only stretches so far.
Planning ahead has become a must. With limited funds one gets creative and it is here that I hope to share some ideas that may limit your added stress so you can get the most enjoyment possible out of your annual festivities.
In the coming days and weeks it is my own plan to share with you the reader some of my own creative ideas for an inexpensive Holiday season that you can be proud to have implemented to bring the joy that not only you deserve but those that you love will enjoy and remember always!
Please add your own ideas in the comments and let's get Very Merry together!
BELIEVE and ACHIEVE.....

Beating the Winter Blues with "New" Winter Coat

Deep brown soft faux fur, fully lined, slit pockets, snap closure, clean and in mint vintage condition.
Circa, early 1960's and manufactured here in the USA by Youthcraft.
This coat is warm and has a glam feel when I put it on and gazed at my image in the mirror.
Not only is this coat warm but it sure is gonna make my winter a lot brighter.
You'll definitely see me coming in this coat!
I'll be the one smiling...

Does anyone else remember using these and only these in school?
Pre-ballpoint era, these vintage cartridge pens were the best.
I have three of them, all over 45 years old and all still work as beautifully as the first day they were purchased!
Standard ink cartridges sold by Sheaffer fit these pens perfectly and I use mine daily. Makes writing anything feel like a creative endeavor.
When Sheaffer gave a lifetime guarantee on these pens they weren't pulling the wool over the consumers eyes and I can attest to not only their quality but to the absolute truth of their Vintage marketing.
